Montage Resort & Spa

This is the project that Doug has been working on for the past 2 1/2 years and I assured him that it was blog-worthy.
Here is a little tribute to his blood, sweat and tears.

The resort is nestled up in the mountains of Deer Valley.  It catches you completely off-guard when you round the corner and see this massive hotel sitting in the middle of ski runs.

One of the 5-star restaurants located inside the hotel.  No, we didn't get a free meal here.

The lounge area of the restaurant.  So cozy and beautiful.

This is the meet and greet area of the lobby lounge.  Check out the gorgeous ceiling.
Hopefully someone cleaned up that ladder before the grand opening.

Library and Study

These rooms overlook the ski runs and have an amazing view of the Park City valley.
Chase got to practice his recital piece on this baby grand.  The place was
crawling with decorators and stagers.  They seemed to enjoy Chase's music.

The bowling alley is part of a large arcade and entertainment area. The video games
were all working for free so the boys enjoyed that for quite a while.

Here's Doug training Kyle on how to order a drink at the lobby lounge bar.

The hotel is now open and has been sold out every night since it opened.  Pretty crazy considering rooms start at $900 per night and go up from there.  Ouch!

Quick facts on Montage . . .

Total square feet: 995,000
Years under construction: 3
Number of construction workers onsite at peak: 1,150
Total guest rooms: 178
Price to own a condo at Montage: 3-5 million
Total construction cost: 300 million

And 1 very tired husband!  It really is beautiful and quite an achievement for all those involved in the project.  Doug will continue to work on the condos located on the upper levels until next spring.  And then we get to look forward to the next job assignment . . . and pray that it's easier than this one!
