Rollarena

There is a wonderful little place called Rollarena not too far from my parents' home.  It's fairly cheap and the sessions only last 2 hours (meaning worst-case scenario you're only stuck there for 2 hours).  It also requires very little supervision from parents so we thought it was the perfect way for all of the cousins to spend a cold winter afternoon.

This was my kids' first time roller skating and they completely "fell" in love with it.  Get it?  They fell A LOT.  Chase was ready to quit within the first five minutes but Kyle was determined to master this "sport".  In the end, they both stuck with it and did a great job.  They also had plenty of help from their cousins, who seriously know how to work the rink.

There was a day when these three beauties loved a good roller skating party.  Jen and I even put on some skates and did a few laps with our kids (only because it was free).  Julie opted to watch our purses rather than make a fool of herself.  Good call, Jul.  For some reason the skating wasn't as magical for me as it was back in 4th grade.  Maybe because I didn't have anyone to skate "snowball" with.
