Winter means basketball time in our house. Whether it's BYU, the Jazz or our very favorite Jr. Jazz teams, our Saturdays are completely full of basketball. After the seemingly endless soccer seasons, basketball is such a nice change of pace. We get to watch games inside for a change and the practices and games are relatively short. Chase and Kyle both love basketball and it's fun to watch them improve over the years. It was another great season for both of them!

I have to admit that I really don't know any of these kids' names. Kyle plays up a year so he doesn't go to school or church with any of these kids. But they were sweet and his coach was great. You'll notice Kyle isn't even in the team picture. We were gone that day, but they let him come in and take an individual picture. I think next year he will play in his age group so he has some friends on his team. It's so much more fun that way!
Chase's team went undefeated this season. Just ask him and he'll tell you all about it :) Check out the kid kissing his trophy in the bottom righthand corner.
Chase had an awesome season. Lots of points, but we also spent a lot of time talking about passing, teamwork and sportsmanship. It was a real growing year for him.
3 gym rats! Alex, Chase and Payton
Trophies are still a major highlight of the season!
Kyle really found his groove with basketball this year. He had 24 points in one game!
He takes warm-ups pretty seriously.
We love watching our kids do just about anything, but watching them play sports is a true joy for us. They have so much fun doing it, which makes it fun for all of us. Way to go, guys!

These pictures are adorable! I love having nephews who are such superstars. The kid kissing his trophy is priceless.
ReplyDeleteThat, and Kyle's head-to-legs ratio holding his trophy. Kind of Despicable Me-ish. I could eat that kid up.
